PUBLIC notices cover a wide variety of applications, ranging from licensing for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works.
Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities.
Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Bath & North East Somerset Council and Somerset Council in Midsomer Norton and the surrounding towns and villages:
Road closures for Remembrance Sunday
Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council has made an order to temporarily close Bromley Road, Stanton Drew, from the junction with Church Lane, extending to its point outside the Parish Hall.
This order is required in order to prevent obstruction during the Remembrance Day Parade. It will be in place on Sunday, November 9, between 10.45am and 11.30am.
Another order has been made by Bath and North East Somerset Council to temporarily close Church Road, Pensford, from its junction with the A37, for a distance of approximately 30 metres.
This order is also required to prevent obstruction during the Remembrance Day Parade. As with the closure in Stanton Drew, this order will be in place between 10.45am and 11.30am on Sunday, November 9.
Road closure in Stowey
Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council has ordered the temporary closure of The Street, Stowey, from its junction with A368 Wick Road extending south east to a point outside Manor Farm.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable National Grid to carry out overhead works/reconductoring.
Work will be conducted between Monday, November 3, to Thursday, November 6. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.
No parking on Lower Bristol Road
Bath and North East Somerset Council have made an order of ‘No Parking At Any Time’ in lengths of Lower Bristol Road, Bath, which will be introduced from Monday, October 27.
