PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works.
Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities.
Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Bath & North East Somerset Council and Somerset Council in Midsomer Norton and the surrounding towns:
• B3355 Winterfield Road, Paulton, will be closed from its junction with Alexandra Park extending north west to its junction with Ham Lane. This will be in place between the hours of 7pm and 6am from Monday, October 20, to the morning of Friday, October 24. This order is to enable Openreach to carry out poleing and civil works for laying approximately seven metres of duct.
• B3355 High Street, Paulton, will be closed from its junction with Alexandra Park extending north west to its junction with Ham Lane. This will be in place between the hours of 7pm and 6am from Monday, October 20, to the morning of Friday, October 24. • A three hour limited waiting parking bays order, operating from 8am to 6pm in lengths of Northmead Road and Gullock Tyning, Midsomer Norton, will be put in place from Monday, November 10.
• A one hour limited waiting bay, with no return within one hour, operating from 7am to 7pm / Taxi Bay operating from 7pm to 7am in lengths of High Street, Midsomer Norton, will be introduced from Monday, November 10.
• A no parking/no loading at any time order will be introduced in lengths of Wells Road, Radstock from Monday, November 10.
• A no stopping on school keep clear markings at any time order will be introduced in lengths of Bath Road, Peasedown St John, from Monday, November 10.
• An order to remove disabled parking bay in lengths of South Road, Midsomer Norton, will be introduced from Monday, November 10.
