Last Monday we held one of our out of season social events. This was very well supported and everyone said what a good evening it was.

The evening started with a curry and rice meal cooked by Sue Yarlett, with the help of husband, Dave. Carole Cocks was also working in the kitchen with them both. The little extras with the meal went down very well – naan bread, chutneys etc.!

Carole and Celia organised a ‘name the baby competition’. Everyone brought a photo of themselves in their younger days and everyone had to guess who they were.

This was a lot harder than people thought, with Thelma Chun coming out as winner and receiving a lovely hamper as the prize.

Thanks were given to everyone for making the evening a success and thanks to Della and Julie for keeping us all well watered.
