DESPITE the loss to Knowle in the County league, Paulton men are still third in Division East One after a great start to the season.
In the MSL, wins against Purnells and Pratten have put Paulton second in the Central division.
The women too have kept up their winning form in the Wild league after playing Castle Cary, Frome Selwood and away at Purnells.
They produced a win on two of the three rinks giving them another ten points to their score.
The ladies team then travelled to Weston-super-Mare for their match in the Top Club competition. Despite close games and a win in one discipline they lost overall.
The men, again at Victoria Bowls in Weston-super-Mare, faired no better. Despite a win in the singles 4 woods and pairs rinks and a really close match on another rink, they lost overall.
