WELTON Rovers’ hopes of ending the season with a victory were dashed when they lost 2-0 away to mid-table Almondsbury in the first division of the Jewson Western Football League.
It means they finished in 16th place in the table - but well clear of the relegation zone.
Devizes Town are champions despite suffering a 3-0 away loss against Wells City in their last game.
Devizes finished six points clear of second placed Sturminster Newton United who also lost their final fixture - 3-1 away to Bristol Telephones. Wells finished in third spot, three points behind Sturminister.
