MIDSOMER Norton suffered only their second defeat of the rugby season when they went down 34-32 away to Chard in Counties One Western North.
It means they stay third in the table which is headed by Dings Crusaders who have a 100 per cent record after their 31-27 away victory over Old Redcliffians.
Dings have a one-point lead at the top over Nailsea & Backwell who were 31-15 away winners over Gordano. Chard’s win over Midsomer Norton moves them up to fourth spot.
Chosen Hill Former Pupils remain bottom after losing 42-31 at home to Old Bristolians - their sixth loss in as many games.
