WINSLEY’S Dorothy House is honoured to announce Moments of Light, an extraordinary large‑scale three-month art installation created by internationally acclaimed light artist Bruce Munro.

Building on the success of his transformative global light installations across the globe, Moments of Light invites visitors to wander among thousands of illuminated forms, creating a constellation of light that will seem to breathe with the landscape.

Supported by Visit West, the world premiere of this artwork will transform acres of the Hospice’s Winsley grounds from October 1 to December 31, marking the organisation’s 50th anniversary with a breathtaking immersive experience offering reflection, connection, and remembrance.

For five decades, Dorothy House has provided specialist care, compassion and support to 75,000 people in the last 1,000 days of their lives.

Moments of Light forms a centrepiece of its anniversary year, opening the Winsley site to visitors from across the UK and inviting them to experience the work of a Hospice through a new creative lens.

CEO, Dorothy House, Wayne de Leeuw said: “As part of our vision to create a society where death is part of life, Moments of Light reflects the very heart of Dorothy House.

“For 50 years, we have walked alongside people during some of the most tender moments of their lives. This installation brings that spirit of compassion and reflection to a wider community of individuals who will inevitably all encounter death and grief at some point in their lives.”

Artist and Dorothy House ambassador, Bruce Munro said: “I am honoured to create this new work for Dorothy House as part of its anniversary celebrations. My hope is that Moments of Light will offer visitors a space to breathe, reflect and feel held within an environment shaped by care, beauty and nature.”
